NIC JEFFRIES

“My Jupiter saxophones deliver the rich tone, reliability, and responsiveness I need on stage and in the studio. They’re instruments I can trust to let the music shine.”

Nic Jeffries is a vocalist, saxophonist, music educator, and arts leader who has spent more than two decades inspiring audiences and empowering young musicians. A graduate of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music (BMus Performance – Saxophone), Nic has taught voice and woodwind from early childhood to university level, conducted wind ensembles, orchestras, and jazz big bands, and held leadership roles in both public and private education sectors.

As a performer, Nic has appeared at major venues and festivals across Australia, sharing the stage with leading jazz and contemporary artists. His soulful vocals, dynamic saxophone playing, and engaging stage presence have made him a sought-after collaborator in genres spanning jazz, soul, funk, and pop. He is also the founding Artistic Director of the Adelaide Jazz Club, presenting world-class performances and fostering opportunities for emerging and established artists.

Since 2023, Nic has served as Executive Director of the Adelaide Youth Orchestras, working with government, the Department for Education, and the Elder Conservatorium of Music to strengthen music education strategy and outreach across South Australia. A Fellow of the Governors Leadership Foundation (2024), he also serves on the Board of the Australian Network of Youth Orchestras, collaborating on a national vision for orchestral excellence.

Nic is committed to ensuring all young Australians — especially those in regional and remote communities — have access to inspiring and transformative music education.
