ALEX TAYLOR

Alex Taylor is a a trombonist, sousaphonist, composer/arranger, and educator based in Adelaide, Australia. He was a semi-finalist in the Australian National Jazz Awards (2017), and is currently musical director for the Central Standard Time Big Band. Career highlights include performing with The Australian National Jazz Orchestra (2021), The Cat Empire, and Midnight Oil. Alex is Lecturer in Jazz Trombone at the Elder Conservatorium of Music (Adelaide University) and has volunteered on the Artistic Direction team at Creative Original Music Adelaide (COMA) since 2014.
